Your headshot is your first impression. You want to make it a strong one. As the main image, your headshot sets the tone for your portfolio and online profile at a model agency. Often times companies pre-select talent based on the first photo they see. This means if your headshot does not stand out, you can miss a great booking.

Portfolio package captures current commercial and retail trends, so that clients can easily envision you promoting their products. Expanding your portfolio into new roles is essential to showing your versatility and can be crucial to booking high-paying jobs.

Pricing: Two looks are $350, additional looks are $100 each

Process:

After you book your shoot, we invite you for a free consultation via phone or conference call. If you are represented through an agency, we request a link to your current portfolio. If you are an aspiring model, we ask for a recent photo. During the consultation, we help you flesh out your objectives and identify assignments you would like to get booked for to deliver you the pictures that elevate your portfolio and get you booked fast.

If you are represented through an agency, we work with your agent to develop the best looks/scenarios to elevate your portfolio.

If you are an aspiring model without representation, we develop your portfolio based on model agencies’ best practices and recent fashion trends.

Timeline:

• Digital proofs are delivered to a model or agent within 2 business days after the shoot.

• Retouched images are delivered within 1 week after the selection from the client.

How long does the shoot take?

The headshot shoot can take up to 1 hour.

The shooting time for the portfolio package is roughly 40 – 60 minutes per outfit.

Do you offer a makeup artist?

COVID-19 update: We currently cannot offer make-up referrals but encourage clients to either visit a salon they are comfortable receiving services from or do their own makeup.

We can refer you to a few professionals who focus on make-up and hair styling once you set up the booking. Their services are covered separately, and their rates vary. While we advise having your makeup and hair done professionally, it is not a requirement. If you are confident in your own skills, you can do the makeup on your own.

Where will the shoot take place?

Depending on the season and objectives of the booking, the shoot can be scheduled outside or in the studio. If the shoot is to take place outside, we will propose a few locations that fits well with the theme.

Will I need to sign any paperwork?

Yes, you will need to sign a model release (standard practice for all shoots) and bring your ID with you to prove that you are over 18 years old and can sign legal documents. In the event you are under 18, we require a signature of a parent or guardian.

Can I do a headshot as part of the portfolio package?

Yes, you can. Just mention you want to substitute one look for a headshot during your free consultation or over email.

What should I wear to a headshot shoot?

There are a number of items that can work. Generally speaking, the clothes should have straight cuts, solid colors, fit true to size or be somewhat oversized. We actually put some great examples for you, check out our Pinterest board.

In addition, the studio carries a few wardrobe samples that can be used to accentuate or elevate a look for a model when it is needed.

What should I wear to a portfolio shoot?

Wardrobe choices are discussed individually and are proposed based on the direction of your portfolio shoot. Common direction themes for a portfolio include fitness and body empowerment, commercial apparel with dynamic movement, modern entrepreneurship, minimalist style lookbooks, organic beauty and cosmetics, and authentic family lifestyle looks.

What if I don’t have any clothes that look like your examples for the shoot?

It is easy to purchase similar clothes online and return them after the shoot. Some of the stores that often carry items that will look great in photos are J.Crew, Madewell, Vince, Theory, Massimo Dutti. If you need more help, once you book the shoot, you can send the images of items you are looking to use and we can guide you to the final selection.

I would like to have more images retouched from my shoot. How can this be done?

Additional images can be retouched at $75 per image.
